§ 6.05:2. Supplemental authority for issuance of bonds.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of law, special or general, the city may after a public hearing issue up to eight million dollars of general obligation bonds in any calendar year for road, highway or bridge purposes, provided that no less than twenty percent of the amount of bonds authorized without an election under section 6.05:1 of this Charter for the same calendar year shall have been designated for road, highway and bridge purposes. For purposes of computing such eight million dollar limitation there shall not be included (a) bonds issued in such year that were authorized under this section in a prior year and (b) refunding bonds. The provisions of this section shall expire December 31, 1996.
