§ 23-52. Water and sewer utilities to maintain employees on call at all times for emergencies.
(a)
Every individual, partnership or corporation engaged in the business of providing utility service of delivery of water through pipes or the removal and treatment of sewage shall maintain, at all times, an employee on call to respond to failures in the system. Such employee shall be stationed at the main plant or office of such utility, or shall be capable of being reached by telephone through a telephone list furnished to the chief of police.

A violation of this section shall constitute a Class 1 misdemeanor.
